I was wondering where you got the exhaust tips for the 1125 from and how much were they?

Yes paying off a motorcycle is a good feeling. :10 Just need to do that on the XB9R. :idea

Ebay. There is a guy that makes a bunch of 1125 addons, he is in Lorain. The tips were $85, and will keep the rear wheel clean.

Fried what paint? On the wheel?

Ken,
If you haven't already, get the latest flash from the dealer. It makes the 1125 run smoother...and cooler.

Yeah, the right side of the wheel is faded compared to the left side. I changed the tires on his bike last year and I thought I was seeing things.

Window sticker....put on late late fall 09. Rode one Core ride with it.
Honest, I like her just the way she is. A fender eliminator kit, and M4gp exhaust are two long term goals I have for her. Not needed. I just rather ride, ride, ride. Don't need anything but fuel, tires, and oil for the next few seasons.

Bam, its an Aprilia SXV 550. Essentially a purpose built SM. Probably at least 100lbs lighter than the Hyper. Not quite as civilized as the Hyper. Calling the seat a torture device is an understatement... LOL! Otherwise just as comfy as ergos go. I'd ridden one last year and decided right then I' have to eventually get one.

Very tasty, looking forward to seeing you on the road soon I hope. Briefly. ;-)

I was on that ride! Your gixxer is a very nice looking bike. Hope you ride more with us this year.

So I bought a rear swing arm stand yesterday.

Are these really THAT sturdy to take off the rear tire and leave it like that till I put it back on? I know people use them to get the tires of the ground during the winter but it just doesn't seem natural to have to the bike sitting like that.

Depends on the stand and your overall level of competence.

Usually yes. I've had wheel off for winter with stands front and rear. For that matter I've sat on my bike while on front and rear stands. Admittedly I don't trust not spooled rear stands as much

I got pretty much this one.

Image

I'm fairly competant when it comes to mechanical stuff its just that I've never done THIS before and it just seems unnatural. Obviously I'm not going to be banging the shit out of stuff and rocking the bike off the stand but I'd rather know some limitations to what I can expect before I find them out for myself.

Would it be MORE stable if I get a front stand as well?
